Summer at Tiffany is the Perfect Summer Read

Summer at Tiffany

For those of you who are looking for the perfect summer read, I have the book for you. Summer at Tiffany is a slight memoir written by Marjorie Hart. Marjorie recalls the summer of 1945 in Manhattan when she and her best friend, Marty, students at the University of Iowa, spent an unforgettable summer working at the legendary Tiffany’s.

Hart’s story is intoxicating. Her tales of living frugally in New York City, dating young midshipmen, celebrating V-J Day in Times Square and mingling with celebrities truly gives us a glimpse into what New York City was like during one of the greatest periods of our history.

Let me know what you think about Summer at Tiffany.
